FREMONT ABBEY is an iconic brick building in the Fremont neighborhood near downtown Seattle. Built in 1914, the building was reopened in 2008 after undergoing major renovations including full seismic, design, visual and sustainable improvements while maintaining the historical aesthetics.
While no monks actually live here, the Abbey retains a rustic historical feel while offering modern amenities. The civic-minded person will be delighted to hold their event at Fremont Abbey as the money used to rent the venue will help sustain arts programs for thousands of local residents.
For weddings, the bride and groom can start the day in separate dressing rooms on-site and then share an intimate “First Look” in the cozy Fireside Room with a functional fireplace.
The Great Hall is a magnificent location for your ceremony, reception or both. The vaulted ceilings are accented by dark wood beams and large, art style stained glass windows allow abundant soft light to flow in.
The hardwood floors are ideal for a night of dancing and the cream walls allow the artwork or decorations that you choose to truly express your unique creative wedding. When the night is over be sure to exit down the brick staircase while your guests give you a send off! Fremont Abbey is a beautiful & welcoming multi-use venue with a warm vintage style that is perfect for your private events.
