June 4, 6, 11, 13th - Let's perform!
Explorations of Expression through the body  [Fremont Arts Council class]

Put yourself out there.  Perform with power and presence with an international flavor.  Taking inspiration from techniques of character development, street performance, clown and mask-expression, this workshop will explore ways to capture the audience, tell a story, and create a performance in the street in relation to the theme of World Trash Culture.  With a focus on the physical expression of the body, this workshop will discuss techniques of physical awareness, centeredness, creative movement, articulation and ways the body can become a vessel for creative communication.  Participants will be invited to join the World Trash Culture ensemble which will be performed to the sound of a recycled gamelan ensemble, capturing the chaos and crud of recycled materials and trash, but developed into a still raw but polished piece of ensemble performance creation.
